Cost guide

Estimate sewer-line cleaning costs with a calculator based on publicly listed Ottawa rates, with clear sources and scope limitations.

There is no useful universal price for every sewer-line cleaning situation. Scope depends on what is reported and what can be assessed at the property. This website is not a service provider and does not publish its own price list.

Use the calculator below to explore a few publicly listed Ottawa prices. The calculation is rule-based—not an AI diagnosis—and the cited prices belong to an independent provider. They are reference points, not an average, quote, guarantee, or promise of availability.

Access, the type and extent of the restriction, method suitability, line condition, and whether inspection or repair is needed can all affect a real estimate. Ask what the work includes, what is separate, and how additional findings would be handled.

Where these numbers come from

Ottawa plumber's published rate list: main drain through accessible cleanout ($295 residential / $350 condo), through toilet flange ($445), camera inspection ($350 per residential branch), and hydro-jetting ($290/hour, 4-hour minimum). Its page also lists power washing from $1,500; that may describe a different scope and is not added to the hourly calculation.

Separate Ontario hydro-jetting cost guide: cites $400–$600 for sewer-line jetting and $100–$250 for video inspection as broad estimates. Those figures are not used in the calculator because they are not the same provider's Ottawa price list.

Independent public prices can change and may not be comparable. This calculator does not use AI to diagnose a blockage or predict a property-specific bill.
